What color eye make up would go okay with my eyes?

I always have trouble finding something good. My eyes are amber. I always have trouble finding the right color of eye shadow, mascara, and eye liner. Any ideas?What color eye make up would go okay with my eyes?
You can try gold. like a gold with a little shimmer. also a light pinkish silver with shimmer.


try green too. an olive green with specks of gold. you could actually go with any color really....purple, green, blue.... amber is a pretty eye color!

Well I have chocolatey brown eyes and that's just a few shades darker than amber, and I find blues and purples look best. Especially purple! They make them pop because on a color chart, orange or amber would be the opposite of blues and purples.





If you don't wanna do that, try using a really good liquid liner. (Like L'Oreal's Carbon Black liner) Liquid liner really defines the eye much better. You could try a cat eye look. For eye shadows, colors that would be best are earthy tones, (like goldish, orange, green, some light pinks) to go along with your eye color. If you want them to pop, don't overdue the eyeshadow, but work some volumizing mascara and creating an illusion that your eye is wider (like white eyeliner on the lower waterline, look it up! :) ) because I bet your amber eyes are gorgeous and would be good if it was kind of the ';center'; of attention. And for a little bit of shine, use eyeshadows that have shimmer in it!





Another alternate is keeping the eyes simple but playing with your lip color a little more. Maybe some pinks. With amber eyes, you could probably pull of a light orange or red too. Depending on your skin tone. Just mess around with color.





Brighter lips + simple eyes OR simple lips + brighter eyes. but you can't have both! Haha :) So good luck!
You can use pretty well any color eye shadow on amber eyes. You could accent them with a gold/brown color, contrast them with a deep blue (or any shade, they all go well). There are charts you can look at that tell you what colors contrast the best (http://sydfish.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/colorwheel.gif) But any color would go well with your color eye. For Eye liner I'd say a dark brown or black, the shape of your eyes determine exactly how much and where you use it. Mascara, probably black since you want to contrast your shadows and liners, rather than blend your eyelashes with the rest of your eye.

Blues and purples look great with amber eyes because they are the opposite colour. Try some blue eyeliner and mascara.





Golds and coppers in darker and lighter shades also look pretty because they compliment or enhance the colour. Light and shimmery shadows look good also.

use exact eyelights mascara, it has recommendations for each eye color on the package, its basically awesome.
