fix+ isn't actually a primer, it's for setting your makeup. you can also use it as a mixing medium or to refresh your skin. do not spray fix+ onto your eyes after you've done your shadow..it will get messed up. even when youre spraying your fix+ on to set your makeup..make sure you hold it at arm's length away from your face.
a foundation (face) primer is something like MAC's Matte http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>
for your eyes just use a creamy shadow base (like a paint pot or paint) or even just use your concealer! primers don't need to be expensive, its just a cream base for your shadow to stick to so it lasts longer.
for face primer you do need something like Matte. but a loose powder or fix+ is great for setting your makeup.
the difference between a face and eye primer is that an eye primer is usually some sort of creamy shadow/base to help your eyeshadow stay on longer. it's also a thicker consistentacy (sp?) than face primer. a face primer smooths out your skin, it can even help hide minor wrinkles to prepare for foundation. it's more smooth and slippery..if you feel a face primer and an eyeshadow primer you'll understand what i mean.
i recommend using both a primer like Matte and fix+/a loose powder to help your makeup last as long as possible. What is the difference between face and eye make-up primers..could I just use a face primer for my eyes too?
Yes it will, but be VERY careful when applying it, too much of it over your eyes will just make your eyeshadow look too runny.
