Eye shadow is perhaps the most beloved cosmetic of creative makeup artists. Since eyes is the most important focal point of the face, the eye makeup techniques and choice of colors for eyeshadow should suit the shape and color of your eyes. The most important trick to keep in mind is that the light colors highlight the spots while dark colors tame them down. The first step in applying the eyeshadow is to apply a neutral concealer that matches your skin tone on the eyelid and then sweep the lightest shade over the entire area from the lash line to the brow line to create the smudge resistant base. Apply the medium shade on the lower lid and blend it into your base shade. A third color can also be added along the lash line and outer corner of the eyes as an accent to create the depth in eyes. The other tips that you can use are:








Step 1:


You will need





* 3 shades of eye shadow


* A dark eyeliner


* Some mascara


* An eye shadow brush


* Some translucent base powder





Step 2:


Choose a colour


Classic smoky eyes are created with one colour, and can be achieved by using dark brown, grey or any dark colour.


If you have small eyes, you should avoid using black


You will need three eye shadow shades of that colour 鈥?dark, medium and light and an eyeliner of that main colour.


We be using will be using shades of grey.


Step 3:


Choose a brush


The key to smoky eyes is successful blending. This is best done with an eye shadow brush.


Step 4:


Prepare the skin


Smoky eyes can quickly become panda eyes if the eye shadow does not stay nicely blended.


Step 5:


Line the eyes


Starting from the inner corner of the eye, draw a dark line of eyeliner along the lash line.


Try to keep this on the lashes filling in the spaces between them with colour. The line should get thicker as it moves towards the outer corner of the eye.


Step 6:


Keep it symmetrical


Once you have finished one stage on one eye, do the same on the other eye.


It is the easiest way to keep both eyes exactly the same.


Step 7:


Apply the highlight shade


Firstly apply the highlight shade along the brow bone and up to the eyebrow.


You can also put a little of the highlight powder in the corner of your eye,


between the tear duct and nose.


This will brighten up the eyes and avoid the dark shades to make the eye look dull.


Step 8:


Apply the medium shade


Secondly build up the medium shade on the eye lid, starting at the lash line working up to just beyond the crease of the eye.





Blend the colours well so there are no clear lines


Step 9:


Apply the darkest colour


Be very careful with the final and darkest colour, it can easily become too much and the eye will look dull. Start from the outer corner and slowly and with the narrowest part of the brush taper the colour to about half way across the lid. Blend this in to the medium shade.





Now with a large powder brush, sweep the powder eye guard away in an upward motion.


Step 10:


Assess the eye


At this point step back a little. It is easy to become focused on the eyes and apply too much. Before continuing, look at your face as a whole to see what's needed.


Step 11:


Adjust to your own eyes


If you have deep set eyes, you can build up the darkest colour to half way up the lid. If you have small eyes, it's best to leave this as a very thin line. Most people will be somewhere in between.


Step 12:


Finishing touches


If the make up isn't too smoky already, you can add a little eyeliner, here, along the lower lash line,





And, here, inside the lower lash line





To finish off the smoky eyes, apply lots and lots of mascara.

Well i struggled with the same thing until my sister told me just close my eyes and wipe the brush on your eyes and it will come out nicely
